Mo-Kan VW Club Makes $1000
Donation to the Children's SPOT
July 3rd, 2002 
Bug Blitz, Bus Blast Coordinator Rick Taylor, along with Mo-Kan VW Club members Wendy Leivan, Marty Hoffman, and Rachel Taylor present a $1000 check to Diane Larsen, Development Coordinator for The Children's SPOT. The donation was the result of a charity raffle held at this years annual car show held the weekend of June 1st at Heartland Park, Topeka. The raffle items ranged from a rebuilt engine to slabs of ribs, and were donated by over thirty area and regional businesses. All proceeds from this years raffle will go towards benefiting The Children's SPOT (Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapy), a department of Saint Luke's Hospital, that has been providing early and intensive rehabilitative therapy to young children with disabilities and developmental delays since 1980. This is the first year the Mo-Kan VW Club has made a charitable donation with the proceeds from it's car show.
